Expressive Arts Therapy & Ecotherapy – Gold Coast
Creative and nature-based therapy supporting people through life’s challenges, emotional experiences, and personal growth across the Gold Coast.
Supporting children, adolescents, and adults through creative, trauma-informed, and relational therapy.
Expressive Arts Therapy on the Northern Gold Coast
Eunoia Expressive Arts Therapy offers a welcoming space on the Northern Gold Coast for children, adolescents, and adults who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, grieving, or navigating difficult life experiences. Expressive arts therapy combines creative processes such as drawing, painting, movement, writing, and storytelling to help people explore emotions that can be difficult to express in words alone.
Creative work in therapy focuses on the process rather than artistic skill. This allows individuals to safely explore thoughts, memories, and feelings while developing insight and emotional regulation. Through guided creative exploration, people can build resilience, reconnect with themselves, and discover new ways of understanding their experiences.

Self-Expression
Explore experiences safely through creative processes when words feel difficult or not enough.
Increased Resilience
Strengthen coping skills and inner resources to navigate stress, change and uncertainty.
Reconnection to Self
Cultivate a deeper sense of clarity, confidence and emotional balance.
About The Therapist
Eunoia Expressive Arts Therapy was founded by Julia Humberstone, a Bachelor-qualified Expressive Arts Therapist who supports emotional wellbeing through creative and nature-informed therapeutic practice. Her work integrates expressive arts processes with trauma-informed and relational approaches to support self-expression, reflection, and personal growth.
Julia has experience working with individuals experiencing complex presentations including addiction recovery, anxiety, grief, and mental health challenges. Sessions are designed to create a supportive and respectful environment where creative exploration can help strengthen emotional awareness, develop coping resources, and foster meaningful change.
Types of Services
Individual Art Therapy
Individual expressive arts therapy tailored to your unique needs. Sessions blend creative exploration, supportive conversation and emotional grounding to help you understand and process your experiences, navigate challenges, and build healthier ways of coping as you reconnect with your sense of self and move forward with greater clarity.
Group Therapy
Therapeutic themed groups exploring experiences such as grief, addiction, significant life transitions, or other personal challenges you may be facing. These groups run as a 6-week creative therapy program, meeting with the same small group each week to build trust, safety and meaningful shared exploration through guided art-making and reflection.
Ecotherapy
Ecotherapy sessions take place outdoors, using nature as part of the creative process. You might create simple art with natural materials or notice clouds, sand patterns or tree textures. These moments help you explore what nature brings up for you and how it relates to your own life. It’s a gentle way to open imagination, find clarity and feel supported by the natural world.
